In 1983 I was in Junior School and our school got its first BBC computer. I remember that the Deputy Headteacher took it round every class, and I remember him bringing it in, have us all sit on the floor and look at the little screen as he showed us some games. The one thing that I remember learning in that session was that, when putting your name in on the game, the letters from "Fred" are all next to each other on the keyboard, so you could type them really fast. I've never forgotten where "F-R-E-D" are on the keyboard, and now whenever I'm asked for a name in a game I'm playing, I always use that pseudonym!
