The Independent Schools Microelectronics Centre was set up at Westminster College, Oxford by the Headmasters Conference (HMC), the Girls Schools Association (GSA), the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS), the Society of Headmasters of Independent Schools (SHMIS), the Independent Schools Association (ISA), and the Conference for Independent Further Education (CIFE).
