Meeting the Challenge of Change - tests for trainee teachers

In December 1998 Green Paper Teachers - meeting the challenge of change was presented to parliament. This document announced plans to introduce new national tests for all trainee teachers in numeracy, literacy and ICT. Mention is made of increasing the number of classroom assistants and how ICT can reduce the administrative burden on classroom teachers

The archive is directed and maintained by Richard Millwood of Core Education UK supported by Sandra Crapper, Maureen Gurr, Margaret Cox, Nick Rushby and Joy Hooper. More recently, since 2011, Doreen Wright, Nick Rushby, Chris Monk and Joy Hooper have been helping catalogue the materials and develop policies.
