Jakarta World Health Conference Project Description

by Carole Chapman last modified Tuesday Aug 23, 2005 11:35
In 1997 Ultralab was asked to help organise the technology for the World Health Conference in Jakata. We built the website for the event which included a discussion forum, made available publically after the conference end. Ultralab, concerned about access from all representative countries, investigated the use of telephone to web technology and developed, especailly for the event, a 'comment via phone space on a webpage', which was heavily utilised during and after the conference.

This event marks an early interest in the use of phones, which has continued as a theme throughout Ultralab projects (see m-learning and eViva)
