CAL '09 'Learning in Digital Worlds' (Brighton, from Monday Mar 23, 2009 10:00 to Wednesday Mar 25, 2009 17:00) — by Richard Millwood: The CAL biennial conference, in association with Computers & Education, and Elsevier, is one of the premier international conferences addressing computers and learning.

THE BBC MICRO AND ITS LEGACY (Fellows Library of the Science Museum, Exhibition Road, London, SW7 2DD, from Thursday Mar 20, 2008 13:30 to Thursday Mar 20, 2008 17:30) — by Richard Millwood: 25 years after its launch in January 1982 the Computer Conservation Society held a seminar exploring its legacy. This special event brought together many of the people who took part in the original projects.

The archive is directed and maintained by Richard Millwood of Core Education UK supported by Sandra Crapper, Maureen Gurr and Margaret Cox.

The British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA)were archive sponsors in 2008 and Becta are sponsors in 2009.

Much of the archive was gathered in the years 1990 - 2006 by Prof Stephen Heppell with Richard Millwood and stored at Ultralab at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford.

In its early days it was catalogued by Greta Mladenova and more recently Rex Wingate helped to organise the 530 items in store.
